Time Management- Progress Diary- First day at filming and Images

We have now filmed just over half of the footage we need for our teaser trailer, we need to include lots of quick shots to make our trailer more effective. Here are some pictures we took while filming and of one of our characters. The majority of our shots are from a range of locations, today we filmed the shots that are in doors. We filmed the beginning of our teaser trailer which is the part with Matty playing the boy when he was younger. We had to create space in an area that will eventually look empty, we used a candle and lots of sheets which the boy would be using to make a bed. He is meant to be neglected so he wont have a bed and the only light he has is from a candle.

Insitution Research

We have been thinking about what institution we will use for our teaser trailer. We would like it to be a british one, who has made films of a similar genre. So far we have:
- Vertigo Films
- UK Film Council
- Pathe
- Rogue Pictires

We have chosen to use Rogue Pictures for our institution because they make films similar to our genre, for example The Strangers. This is a psychological horror like our teaser trailer. We will use a short clip of the institutions logo at the beginning of our teaser.

This is a clip of the Rogue Pictures Logo, we will need to edit out the unneccesary parts at the beignning and the end, we will use a couple of seconds of this at the beginning.

Magazine Research

We have been looking at the different magazines that are about new movie releases. We found magazines that might feature our film, these are: - SFX Magazine - Scream Magazine - Total Film - Sight & Sound - British Film - Empire SFX and Empire contains films from the science fiction and horror genre and Scream contains films from the horror genre. SFX Magazine-

Scream Magazine-

We like the Scream magazine because we feel it is more appropriate for our genre, we also like the effect of the title. We copied it in photoshop and will use this for our magazine cover.

Empire Magazine-

This is an example of Empire Magazines front cover, it uses bold writing and normally has a colour scheme for each magazine depending on what film it is being made for, for example The Dark Knight when it had the Joker on the front it uses black and green. Normally a large image of who the issue is about is in the center of the page and sometimes covers the Empire title. The page is covered with titles along the left and right side of the image. It includes what you will see on the cover of a typical magazine front cover such as titles, pictures, barcode and price.
