Titles/Names for our New Idea

These are some of the example of titles and names we have come up with for our Teaser.

So far we like Vengeance and Forgotten for the title of our teaser.

Sound Track for our Teaser Research

We have been thinking about what music and sound effects to use for our teaser trailer. We like music that is fast paced and will create a sense of suspence on the audience. The music will need to match the quick shots we will have. There are certain websites where we can save non copyright music for our teaser trailer such as freeplaymusic.com The Strangers Music: We liked the end of the teaser trailer where the music got more tense, we thought this was very effective.

We used YouTube to search music to get inspiration for what music to use.

This is the music we have chosen and would like to use for our teaser trailer.

Costume Ideas, Mattys character and Props

These are our costume ideas for our teaser:

Male Characters

This is Lewis' costume, he will wear dark clothes. The clothes will look like he has owned them for ages as he is on his own.

Female Characters
The female characters will have there casual normal clothes on. We might have to use old clothes in case the fake blood stains.

Matty's Character

Matty's character is the young boy who is alone in his room, he looks sad and neglected. We would like the audience to sympathise or be curious of his character, we would like them to vaguely see his face but have it mostly covered in shadow which adds mystery to his character.

Matty's costume will be dark, when we see his character he will be sitting in a dark corner so it will look like he is hiding in the shadows.

Actor Profiles

We have been looking at characters from films and how they are similar to our own characters.

The first character we looked at is the killer, our killer is similar to many characters in horror films because his face is never revealed, some shots you may get a glimpse of his face but not for long enough that you can see who he is.

I have included these two images, one is from our teaser trailer of our killer and one is of one of the killers in The Strangers. I chose these two images because it shows different ways of hiding the killers identity. I have hidden the killers identity by only looking at certain areas of him, for example his legs or his shadow, whereas in The Strangers they use masks to hide characters identity.

I am now looking at some of the victims in our teaser trailer and some victims from real films.

New Character Profiles

This is a list of the characters involved in our Teaser Trailer:

• The teenage boy getting revenge. (Played by Lewis)
• The boy when he was younger (Played by Lewis' little brother Matty)
• The victims (Played by Amy, Chris, Lauren, Jess and David)

Lewis:

Lewis is playing the main character who is getting revenge on the people in his life. In our teaser we hope that Lewis' characters face will not be revealed as much to add mystery to his character.

Matty:
Matty is playing the teenage boy when he was a child. We will see his character looking sad neglected. Matty is Lewis' little brother so they look similar, this will make our teaser more authentic as they are supposed to be the older and younger versions of each other.

Amy:

Another character will be Amy, she will play one of the victims of the boy. Amy's character was meant to be one of Lewis' childhood friends but they ignored him and made him feel like an outcast.
Chris:

Chris is another one of the victims in the teaser, he is also supposed to have been one of Lewis' characters childhood "friends".

Lauren:
Lauren will be another victim of Lewis' character, Lauren's character is the sister of Amy's.

Jess:

Jess will play another one of the victims, she was in the childhood group too.

David:

David will also play a victim, he was meant to be part of the childhood group.

Final Idea Plot

A teenage boy who was neglected as a child by his friends and family wants revenge on the people who made his life lonely, he starts attacking his victims one by one.

Teaser Trailer Plot- It will start with a black screen, the first shot you see is of a door, slowly opening reavealing a dark room. As the door opens wider the audience can see a small boy sitting in the corner of the room looking lonely and upset, this is the neglected child of our story. After you see the child a new scene flashes very quickly of the same room but the child is gone and on the wall pictures of peoples faces with there eyes cut out and crosses on there faces with some blood on them. After you see a quick glimpse of this image the other scene comes back and shows the boy sitting in the corner of the room. As the door is open fully the boy slowly looks towards the camera. The shot then changes to the quick ones where you see the boys victims being attacked. Some of these scenes may incude images of weapons such as knives and people running. The last shot you see will be of the teenage boy grabbing one of his victims and putting his hand over her mouth. It will then turn to a black screen as the title appears.

Font Experiments

I have been experimenting with a range of fonts using a possible title idea for our teaser trailer.
We have been looking for fonts that look like they would appear in horror products.

Idea Change

We have been thinking about changing our idea, We will still use the same genre which is Horror. We decided to change our idea because we were thinking that our teaser trailer would be more like an opening 2 minutes to a film like we did last year. Our new idea will consist of more shots like typical teaser trailers, we like the idea of showing quick shots of things that could be part of the film. Shot List Ideas-

Progress Diary

We are nearly ready to film, it might take us a couple of nights to complete filming as it gets dark very quickly. We will have to work quickly when we get to the location. It will have to be an afternoon/evening where we are all free and can film.
